I love designing hand knitting patterns, from acessories to decorations. Here is a selection of my patterns available in the Woolly Brew yarn shop, Pittenweem, Fife, on Ravelry and from Di Gilpin.
I am committed to running an ethical and sustainable business.
All my knits are made completely from natural fibres that will compost down at the end of their long lives.
I'm always working on sourcing more locally produced yarns and I only buy from companies that guarantee that their wool is not from mulesed sheep (a serious animal welfare issue associated with some wool production). Find out more about the yarns I use here.
I am the sole worker in my tiny business and make all the knitted pieces myself.
I knit on a small, hand powered domestic knitting machine. I produce little waste and the wool waste I do produce is compostable.
All the packaging I mail out in is plastic-free.
My printed materials are on recycled card and the tissue paper is recycled. The cardboard postal box, tissue and insert are
recyclable. My sticky tape and paper parcel tape are
plastic-free.
